"Deva" owned by Kathy Kennedy passed today sleeping in the sun, 16 years and
4 months, the last from my very special "Reign" and "Hannah" litter. She
was a wonderful flyball dog and a great companion, I am so fortunate that Deva
and Kathy found each other and that she had a very long, very happy life.
I picture all the littermates running together somewhere over that beautiful
rainbow bridge.

AWC Coursing Specialty in Metamora....just as hot today, hard to believe the
dogs are still running well on the third day of coursing in this heat.
Ribbon finishes 2nd, Phoebe 4th, Riley NBQ, Oliver 2nd, Torrey 3rd, DoubleShot
4th in their FCH stakes and Ajaax was 1st in Singles! Puppies practiced
and put on a fabulous show!

Great weekend for coursing - a mud fest - Phoebe won the Field Champion Stake on
Saturday. The pups Brody, Hoss, Maddie, Scarlet and Sirius practised
chasing the bunny and all were extremely enthusiastic, YEAH! Cruiser
(Fancy & Arnie) finished his ASFA Field Championship on Sunday!

Michigan Gazehound Association coursing presentation. Ace, Cooper,

the public during the two day benched show at Cobo. Vickie who owns Cooper
& Riley made some terrific display photo boards for us. Cooper & Oliver
made their ring debut in the puppy class, Ace, Grace & Torrey also showed;

AKC Coursing in Austintown, OH. A little more sun today....still quite
muddy today in Open, Riley finished 3rd, Grace 4th, Torrey 5th, Double Shot
finished her Senior Courser title, and Skol was 2nd in FCH. Then we took
home a van full of mud, dogs, puppies and equipment.
In Knightstown, OH Phoebe finished 4th in FCH stake at the ASFA trial.
Male Puppy #4 now named Cooper goes to his new home today with Riley, Koby,
Vicki and Kathy.

AKC coursing in Austintown, OH. Oh what a mud bath today, the mud
would suck the boots right off your feet. Rolling terrain with a little
stream running through the course. Grace truly loved it and from Open went
Best of Breed, Double Shot 2nd and Ribbon 3rd, Ace 4th; In Field Champions Skol
finished 2nd.

ASFA Coursing MGA at Lake Erie Metro Park......cold, windy and an 1100 yard
course! Doubleshot finishes 2nd in Open and Skol finishes 4th in
Field Champs. My grandson came to check out the coursing as well as the
puppies. Meanwhile in Kansas, Doubleshots littermate, "Matcha", is Winners
Bitch for a major win to finish her Bench Championship.

Today in Fairborn it is cooler and still windy and larger turn out in
Whippets gave us two Open stakes! Grace finished 4th in her Open Stake,
Ace finished 1st in his stake, Skol finished 4th in FCH and Phoebe 5th, Torrey
finished 1st in her Open stake and went on to BOB and BEST IN FIELD after 5 runs
and at 14 months!!!

"Chase" finished 2nd in Open Flight A which made him a new Field Champion in
just 5 trials, "Ace" was 1st in Open Flight B after a couple of run-offs and is
also a new Field Champion in just 3 trials, WOW, "Zoe" (littermate to Fancy &
Skol) placed 3rd in Open Flight B, "Riley" was 4th today in Open Flight B and is
half way to his Field Championship. "Skol" finished 3rd again today in
Field Champions, "Phoebe" placed 4th in Field Ch, and Ribbon NBQ....So exciting
to watch these "pedigrees" run!!

ASFA coursing in Knightstown, IN with 40+ Whippets running; 2 flights of
Open, 2 flights of Field Champions, and a few Veterans. It was a wonderful
day for Wildwood Whippets, I am so proud of the young dogs and their owners!!
"Chase" (Cory & Sassy 2008) was 1st in Open Flight A, "Riley" (Cory & Sassy
2008) was 1st in Open Flight B and overall winner of the Open Flights, "Ace"
(Cory & Sassy 2008) was 2nd in Open Flight B, "Zoe" had two nice runs and was
just out of the ribbons. "Phoebe" placed 2nd in Field Champion Flight A, "Skol"
was 3rd. "Ribbon" finished 1st in Field Champion Flight B. "Torrey"
was able to practice and ran the full course.....she is going to be one to
watch!!

FC Phoebe on the Wing FCH LCM (Dominic & Cali) "Phoebe" finishes #2 in
American Sighthound Field Assoc. for 2008! She garnered 3 ASFA Best in Fields,
3 AKC Best in Fields during the year and is half way to her LCM 2!! Joe and
Caren acquired Phoebe as a pup two years ago as their first dog an had never
heard of lure coursing...I would say they have had an amazing year!
