My love for animals began early, as a young girl I was fortunate enough to have helped raise, train and exhibit our Arabian horses in halter, English, and western classes. I even dabbled in dressage and jumping. Horses encompassed all my time outside of school. As for dogs we always had a house companion, a miniature poodle or poodle mix.
I brought home my first whippet in 1992. He was a puppy sired by my sister’s dog CH Flippet’s Azra’s Sir Olaf CD out of Hasue’s Chances are Royalmagic “Hanna”. His name was “Trapper” Simply A Sandtrap and he was a perfect gentleman! I pointed him in the breed ring and competed in obedience in the US and Canada.
A year later, I had the opportunity to bring the beautiful “Hanna” into our home. We competed in conformation easily earning her Canadian Championship, pointed her in the US, and earned her ASFA Field Championship. Hanna whelped my first litter in 1995 under the Wildwood prefix. This lovely litter produced my first three homebred multi talented champions and dearly loved companions for myself and other first time whippet owners.
As a small scale breeder my goal is to produce healthy, structurally sound puppies with stable temperaments that will make great companions. I have bred 13 litters as of June 2018 and have produced well over 30 Champions in many venues. With every litter my “Whippet Family” has grown; I am so very thankful for the wonderful people who have provided my puppies loving homes, companionship and the friendships I have gained!
